This section of the Travel Guide covers a leg of the Minnesota North Shore portion of the Lake Superior Circle Tour from Cascade River State Park through Grand Marais and then to the border at Grand Portage.
Many impressive waterfalls lie along this route, including the roaring High Falls on the Pigeon River. The hiking trails, both in the state parks and along the Superior Hiking Trail system are top notch. More sedate travel "adventures" are also available, among them being touring the shops, restaurants, and pubs in Grand Marais and visiting the Grand Portage National Monument.
